CAUCUS

TOWN OF RUTLAND

 

JANUARY 18, 2011

 

1.       Town Chairman Dale Beske called the 2011 Caucus to order at 6:30 pm on January 18, 2011.

Present: Dale Beske, Kim Sime, Milt and Vicki Sperle, Jeanette Walker, Jim Lunde, and Dawn George.

 

2.     Walker nominated Jim Lunde to serve as caucus chairman as the Town Chairman office will be on the ballot; seconded by Sime; no other nominations were received; nominations were closed by motion and second by Walker and Lunde; Jim Lunde took over as the Caucus Chairman.

 

3.     Nominations:

A)    Town chairman – Sperle moved, Walker seconded, to nominate Dale Beske; no further persons were nominated; Sperle moved, Walker seconded, to close the nominations for Town Chairman.

 

B)    Town Supervisor – Beske and Sime nominated Milt Sperle for Town Supervisor; no further persons were nominated; Beske moved, Lunde seconded, to close the nominations for Town Supervisor.

 

C)   Town Treasurer – Beske and Walker nominated Kim Sime for Town Treasurer; no further persons were

               nominated; Sperle moved, Beske seconded, to close the nominations for Town Treasurer.

 

       D)     Town Clerk – Beske and Sime nominated Dawn George for Town Clerk; no further persons were nominated; 

Walker moved, Beske seconded, to close the nominations for Town Clerk.

 

E)   Constables – Two positions available.  Beske and Sperle nominated Shawn Hillestad for Constable;  no

       further persons were nominated; Sime moved, Beske seconded, to close the nominations for Town Constable. 

       Because no other person were nominated, there will be three write-in lines on the ballot.

 

4.     Adjournment.  Sperle and Walker moved to adjourn the 2011 Caucus; motion carried 7-0.
